Woman Targets Security Over Political Shooting
A woman from Washington state plans to enhance her home security instead of removing a pro-Trump display after experiencing a bullet strike that she believes was politically motivated. This incident, which occurred early Sunday morning, left multiple holes in her Ballard home’s windows and damaged a parked pickup truck.
The neighbor, who chose to remain unnamed, suggested that the shooter may have specifically aimed at the political stickers and photographs positioned in her window.
Democratic leaders have, perhaps unsurprisingly, accused Trump of fostering a climate that could incite such political violence.
The homeowner’s decor includes images of President Donald Trump, a Confederate flag, and a sticker that states, “The life of the police is a problem.” The damage extended to her red pickup truck, which had two of its windows shattered.
In response to the shooting, local authorities from the Seattle Police Department were contacted for more details regarding the incident.
During an interview, the homeowner reported this was actually the second time her home had been targeted in recent years. The first shooting occurred in 2024, coinciding with a prominent political event.
In that earlier incident, she recounted that a bullet ricocheted inside her home, though thankfully, no one was injured. Recently, the FBI has been investigating claims of targeted violence against certain groups in relation to demonstrations in Seattle.
After the recent shooting, the woman noted that her shutters were closed, likely helping to mitigate some of the bullet’s impact. In the aftermath, she mentioned observing a man walking down the street during the shooting.
Despite this alarming situation, the homeowner is determined not to back down from expressing her political views. Instead of yielding to the intimidation, she plans to install a security camera to monitor her property more effectively.
