Activists in Seattle pasted posters proclaiming a gay uprising on grounds across the city following a march in support of Gaza’s autonomous government, Hamas.
A poster reading “Gay Intifada” was widely circulated online from Seattle, Washington.
The poster also showed what appeared to be two fully clothed men kissing. keffiyeh, a men’s headcloth typically worn in the Middle East. The men’s faces were covered.
The billboards were reportedly placed around downtown Seattle after pro-Hamas/anti-Israel marches and rallies. 770KTTH.
One sign was posted above a sign pointing to the city of Jerusalem that read, “Save Sheikh Jarrah and Liberate Palestine.”
Activists in Seattle used #ShutItDown4Palestin to promote protests, which took place in both areas. February 4th and February 17th2024.
