A Seattle demonstrator was arrested for damaging property during an Election Day protest, authorities said.
Around 6:45 p.m., dozens of protesters dressed all in black passed through 12th Avenue and East Pike Street in the Capitol Hill area. FOX13 Seattle reported.
Police said a loudspeaker announcement was made for the group to disperse, and five people were arrested on suspicion of damaging property.
Demonstrators dragged scooters onto the streets, and some plastered graffiti on public property with words such as “Kill the Cops,” “ACAB” and “Liberate Palestine.”

The protesters do not appear to be affiliated with either political party. Authorities did not immediately say whether it was a known group.

Jason Lantza KTTH Seattle radio host reported that the group appeared to be organized by far-left anti-Semitic activists.

Luntz reported that a flyer posted around the Capitol claimed that Israel was waging a “new holocaust” in Gaza, while another posted on social media claimed that Israel was “funding genocide”. A similar message read, “Stop!” Both fliers called on protesters to gather at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle around 6 p.m.
Police have not yet released the identities of the five people arrested.
