Secret Service: Shooter Fired Multiple Shots Towards The Stage From An Elevated Position Outside Trump Rally Venue

The suspect who opened fire on President Donald Trump and rally attendees was shot and killed by members of the Secret Service’s counter-assault team.

The suspects were not inside the sealed off meeting area when the shots rang out. They were on high ground about 200-300 feet away from the meeting area. They were believed to be standing on top of a shed.

Police sources said the shooter was armed with an AR-type rifle.

The FBI is currently leading the investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

The identity of the shooter has not yet been released.
