SECU customers experience bank account issues – WRAL News

State Employees Credit Union (SECU) customers are facing double charges on debit card transactions on Saturday.

This caused an issue with some customers reporting negative balances in their accounts.

Many people took to social media to express their displeasure.

One Facebook user posted: “Check your SECU account! They are double charging my account and making it negative.”

Another user expressed anger: “This is ridiculous! I can’t even buy groceries for my family because my bank messed up my account.”

SECU acknowledged the issue in a statement, saying:

“SECU encountered an error during file processing and some debit card transactions were posted as duplicates. We are working to resolve the issue and will post updates on our website and social media. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to our members.”
