Protector App Expands to Corporate Services for Enhanced Security

On-demand security is getting an upgrade with the launch of Protector Corporate, an extension of the popular Protector app aimed specifically at businesses. The move comes in response to a surge in demand for security services following a tragic shooting in July that left four individuals dead in a Park Avenue skyscraper.

“After that incident, we’ve definitely seen an uptick in inquiries,” remarked Nick Saras, the app’s founder and CEO.

“These high-profile events show just how quickly things can spiral out of control, prompting businesses and executives to invest significantly in robust protection and emergency preparedness,” he added.

Originally launched in Los Angeles and New York earlier this year, the app has gained attention, especially after influencers like Josie Francis and Nicole Agner showcased their experiences hiring bodyguards during New York Fashion Week. Their videos have collectively amassed over 10 million views.

Some users seem to relish the chance to feel like celebrities—almost overnight, like Taylor Swift—while partnering with individuals and corporations to ensure their safety.

As Saras pointed out, the demand for protection services is shifting—it’s no longer just about having guards present. “Businesses now want more than just inexpensive security. They seek experts who can effectively intervene if needed,” he explained.

The team at Protector includes law enforcement officers and military veterans, such as members of the New York City Police Department and elite units like the US Air Force and Navy Seals. Their skills range from sniper operations and security dog handling to personal security details and transportation security.

Protector’s corporate services already have clients committed for year-long contracts, though they are also available for one-off events. For individual services, guards and drivers start at around $200 per hour, while costs for businesses can reach into the thousands.
