Rep. Jasmine Crockett Calls Out Speaker Mike Johnson

During an appearance on CNN with Jake Tapper, Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett expressed her frustration with House Speaker Mike Johnson, labeling him a “slut.” This comment followed Johnson’s remarks about lawmakers being wary of their identities becoming public regarding the release petition for documents tied to the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex trafficker.

Crockett accused Johnson of hindering efforts to make the remaining Epstein files available to the public and claimed he didn’t intend to speak negatively. Yet, when prompted by Tapper to express her true feelings, she hesitated before stating, “He’s full of shit.”

She continued, accusing Johnson of deliberately obstructing action on the Epstein records. “The reality is, he didn’t even allow certain individuals back into the House because of their ties to Epstein. He won’t even swear in new, duly elected members of Congress. It’s disenfranchising for them,” said Crockett.

If that wasn’t enough, Crockett further criticized Johnson’s dismissive approach toward the Epstein case, arguing that his actions were not about protecting victims. She highlighted that Republicans had released names of survivors even when redacted portions were provided.

“He went against the Constitution to avoid dealing with this,” she said. “And when he finally released some information, he didn’t care who got named. It’s appalling.”

Meanwhile, a bipartisan push to urge the Justice Department to unveil all outstanding Epstein files gained traction following the swearing-in of Arizona Democratic Rep. Adelita Grijalva. Her involvement was seen as essential for moving the petition forward after a period of delays.

On Sunday night, former President Donald Trump also weighed in, encouraging House Republicans to support the release of Epstein’s remaining files. He stated, “We have nothing to hide. It’s time to move on from the Democratic distractions.”
