See the new Gulfstream G700

Gulfstream Aerospace’s new Gulfstream G700 business jet has reached a major milestone with Federal Aviation Administration certification.

The General Dynamics subsidiary revealed the news on Friday, saying it paves the way for “the delivery of business aviation’s widest aircraft to customers.”

The Gulfstream G700 jet can transport up to 19 people with the option of up to five living areas.

Gulfstream Aerospace said its cabin “features whisper-quiet noise levels, 20 Gulfstream panoramic oval windows, and 100% fresh, never-recirculated air.”

The newly certified jet is “the fastest in Gulfstream’s fleet,” with a top speed of Mach 0.935, the company said. According to the company, it also has a very long range, capable of cruising 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 and 6,660 nautical miles at Mach 0.90.

These numbers show increases in both speed and range over prior expectations.

“We would like to thank our world-class team of flight test, certification and engineering experts and the many others at Gulfstream who contributed to this accomplishment,” Gulfstream President Mark Burns said in a statement.

The Gulfstream G700 jet has been in development since 2019.

In late January, before the G700 was certified, General Dynamics CEO Febe Novakovic said the company had 15 jets “ready for use and hoped to deliver them this quarter.” “I think so,” he said.

The long-awaited jet made its debut at the Singapore Air Show in late February.

Gulfstream also produces a number of other jet models, including the G500, G600, and G650.
