Sen. Deb Fischer Holds Polling Lead Over ‘Democrat in Disguise’

Sen. Deb Fischer (R-Nebraska) is on track for an Election Day victory, another disappointment for Democrats eager to get back to the Senate race.

According to a new poll conducted by John Rogers of polling firm Torchlight Strategies, the Nebraska senator's approval rating is 49%, while his opponent Dan Osborne is at 43% and 8% are undecided. It becomes.

Fisher maintained a six-point lead from the previous poll a week ago, well outside the margin of error.

“Democratic underground finance groups poured millions of dollars into the Nebraska Senate race in hopes of maintaining their majority, and Senator Fischer's propaganda is clearly working,” the voting memo said. are. “Senator Fischer continues to lead within the margin of error in the election, and that gap will widen as voters learn of Dan Osborne's extreme views and ties to radical Democrats. .”

Mr. Osborne is running as an independent, but faces accusations that he is rejecting the opportunities afforded by formal party affiliation in ruby-red Nebraska and increasingly aligning himself with Democrats.

The Democratic Party has not officially fielded a candidate for the election.

“This poll confirms what we found in last week's polls: Nebraskans support pardons for Dan Osborne, Social Security for illegal immigrants, extreme abortion, and Vice Harris to end the filibuster. They simply don't agree with the president's plan or support for Bernie Sanders,'' Fishers' campaign manager Derek Oden said. “We expect this positive trend to continue in the final weeks as more Nebraskans learn that Dan Osborn is no longer an independent but a liberal Democrat in disguise.

“We still have work to do and will continue to run hard, but we are encouraged by the direction of the race.”

Mr. Fisher's race is considered the safest of three relatively competitive races involving incumbent Republican senators. Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) are facing well-funded Democratic challengers, but Democrats are struggling to gain support in these races. I'm struggling.

Sen. Pete Ricketts (R-Nebraska) is also running from Nebraska in a special election to fill an unexpired term in the Senate. Ricketts is a former governor and was appointed by his successor, Gov. Jim Pillen.

Fisher will receive further reinforcements this week. Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Omaha on Saturday afternoon as part of his Reclaim America tour.
