Sen. Mike Lee reveals the brutal term his Democratic colleagues are using for the Biden decrepitude saga

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) offered a grim take on the current state of affairs in Washington, D.C., on “Blaze News Tonight” Thursday, about how his Democratic colleagues are dealing with President Joe Biden’s weakness and political collapse. Lee noted that the situation on the other side has deteriorated to a truly pitiful state.

Biden has provided ample evidence in recent years that he is not immune to the effects of time: The 81-year-old Democrat has displayed various signs of cognitive decline in public appearances.
Countries in turmoil and Family members;Speaking to the dead; Fallrepeating yourself; slurring your speech; Forgetting important events in life; And rely on Instructions written in large letters Perform basic tasks.

Until just last month, the Democratic Party and its
Allies of the mainstream media They still dutifully portrayed Biden as mentally sound and competent, deriding his critics as conspiracy theorists, partisans and cranks, even suggesting that raw footage demonstrating Biden’s decline was a “deep fake.”

But the presidential debate between Biden and President Trump forced a paradigm shift in the mainstream. At the very least, it has forced the American people to ask questions and the political establishment to start seriously considering the answers. Biden recently said:
Misunderstand During a NATO news conference on Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to call Vice President Kamala Harris “Vice President Trump” and lean on Jill Biden and former President Barack Obama to take the reins.

Tonight’s Blaze NewsAsked by co-host Jill Savage about what his Democratic colleagues have been saying about Joe Biden, Lee said, “They’re referring behind closed doors to this situation and the conversations they’ve had to have in their conferences over the last hour or two as ‘Bernie’s Weekend’ chats.”

“Many of them, and many in the media, shouldn’t pretend to be surprised here.”

In the 1989 comedy film Weekend at Bernie’s, two insurance company employees are invited to the CEO’s beach house under false pretenses. Instead of a warm welcome, they are greeted by the cold corpse of their boss, Bernie Lomax. Fearing they may be involved in Lomax’s death, and wanting to live the lavish life at the beach house at the expense of the dead man, the two try their best to manipulate and carry around his body, making it appear as if Lomax is still alive. The deception is made easier by the fact that many other people are blinded by their desire to have the same access to the dead man’s wealth and comfort.

“This is the reality that they’re swimming in,” Lee said. “I don’t envy them, but we have to remember that — I don’t want to say all of them, but many of them and many people in the media — we shouldn’t pretend to be surprised here.”

“I think most of us, even if we’re not Democrats, have been watching this for a long time,” the Utah senator continued. “We’ve seen the president of the United States shake hands with people who aren’t there, or at least we can’t see. We’ve seen the president get lost between a helicopter and the White House residence. We’ve seen all sorts of things that don’t make sense.”

“They’re looking for a way out.”

Lee stressed that the signs of Biden’s decline had been so prevalent for some time that it would be hard for Democrats to convincingly express shock now.

“I think they’re finally starting to accept the fact that they can’t do this anymore,” Lee said. “They’re looking for an exit. Where that will lead and whether that exit will be good or bad for their chances, I don’t know.”

Even if Biden ultimately caves to the demands of Democratic donors and lawmakers and withdraws from the race, his most talked-about successor seems destined to lose as well.

YouGov Poll
carried out A few days after the Trump-Biden debate, two-thirds of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents indicated they would support Kamala Harris as the presidential nominee. Reuters/Ipsos poll after the debate The approval rating 38% South His disapproval rating is about 50%, still one percentage point behind President Trump. 5:38 Taking into account economic and political issues, he suggested Biden has a 17-point advantage over Trump over Harris in terms of winning battleground states and the Electoral College.

While the broader discussion about Biden has been largely about Biden himself, Lee brought the discussion back to problematic aspects of Biden’s policies.

“At the end of the day, all of this focuses on the fact that Joe Biden’s policies have been a complete failure. Biden’s policies have caused pain to the American people. They’ve made everything more expensive. The average family has to pay at least $1,300 a month just to pay for living expenses, for groceries, for gas, for housing,” Lee said. “This is unfair, but this is a predictable, foreseeable and indeed foreseeable outcome of his failed policies.”

“So no matter where they run, they can’t escape the failed Democratic progressive policies that got us to this point,” Lee added. “And that’s the true test, more so than Joe Biden’s dementia.”
