Moreno Warns GOP Voters of Consequences in Upcoming Elections

If Republican voters choose not to participate in the 2026 midterm elections, they’re effectively supporting radical socialists who, in his view, dislike America, Senator Bernie Moreno from Ohio expressed in an interview with Breitbart News on Thursday.

Moreno discussed the political environment as Election Day approaches on November 3, outlining strategies for a Republican victory during a roundtable hosted by Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle.

“Let’s start with how I’ve been framing up this election cycle. You’re out of cycle right now, but you obviously have a vested interest. I think your work will be a lot more fun if Republicans do well in November, and we are voting now. Election Day is today in a lot of ways,” Marlow mentioned to Moreno.

Moreno shared his perspective on the nation’s current state, noting that, although he believes things aren’t going too poorly, many people seem to be caught in a sense of impending doom. “It’s odd to me,” he said, mentioning that recent economic indicators show strength despite a prevailing sentiment of pessimism among the public.

He recognized that rising costs of living and food are serious burdens for many Americans, while also suggesting that the necessary military actions regarding Iran are aimed at preventing a hostile nation from acquiring nuclear capabilities.

“Prices have surged significantly over the past six years, making it feel impossible to get ahead,” he remarked. For instance, something that used to be $10 now costs around $13, which understandably leaves people feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. This perception of financial strain is valid, he pointed out, but highlighted that a substantial portion of inflation can be attributed to the Biden administration.

“We didn’t want to go into Iran, but it was essential. They posed a nuclear threat,” Moreno added. He believes that gas prices are high now but will decrease rapidly once the conflict in Iran comes to an end, which he anticipates will happen sooner rather than later.

Despite the challenges, Moreno asserted, “you never elect Democrats if you want gas prices to go down.” He emphasized that high gas prices are part of a broader policy agenda from Democrats and that Republicans need to be in charge to bring relief.

He pointed to successful historical actions taken under Republican leadership, such as significantly reducing prescription drug prices and cutting the federal workforce, which he argues translates into real benefits for Americans.

Moreno concluded by urging patriotic Americans to show up and vote, emphasizing that their participation is crucial. “Not voting is essentially a vote for socialists and radicals,” he stated. “We need everyone who voted in 2024 to also vote in 2026.”
