Senator Bernie Moreno Supports Representative Barry Moore for Alabama Senate

Endorsement for Rep. Barry Moore in Senate Campaign

Rep. Barry Moore (R-Ala.), affiliated with the House Freedom Caucus and an early supporter of Donald Trump, has secured a significant endorsement in his Senate race from Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio).

Moreno shared the announcement with Breitbart News.

Moore, who is running as a “Trump conservative” and a candidate for labor, made his campaign formal in August. While speaking from his home balcony alongside his wife, he highlighted the values of “faith, family, hard work, and country.” He spoke about his upbringing on a farm in Alabama and his experience as a small business owner. Moore expressed strong disapproval of what he termed “MAGA impostors” and “RINOs,” asserting his early support for Trump back in 2015.

In his endorsement, Sen. Moreno praised Moore’s conservative credentials and strong connections with Trump, stating, “Barry Moore is a warrior for America First. He is the best candidate to represent the people of Alabama, and I am proud to fully and completely support Barry Moore.” Moreno commended Moore’s initiatives regarding border security, crime reduction, and inflation.

In a discussion with Breitbart News, Moore elaborated on the significance of the endorsement, both politically and personally. He noted that Moreno appreciated his perspective as a business owner rather than a career politician. “It made sense to him,” Moore reflected.

Moore emphasized the value of Moreno’s consistent alignment with Trump and highlighted his own congressional experience. “I’m the only one with a track record in Congress, so he valued that. He knew I was an ally of the president. He felt like we hit it off,” Moore added.

Moore acknowledged the significance of Moreno’s campaign, noting his success in a challenging national race. “His endorsement was special,” he remarked.

Alabama legislators are voicing their support for accountability in government agencies. At a recent Breitbart News policy event focused on health and economics, Moore expressed concerns about pandemic-related mandates and the potential influence of economic interests on federal health policies. “I think it’s healthy to question government,” he stated. He also shared a personal story about his son-in-law, an Army Ranger who experienced a heart attack after receiving the COVID-19 booster shot, which contributed to what he described as widespread trust issues with federal agencies.

Moore is set to pursue re-election to the House of Representatives in November 2024. He previously garnered attention by driving a garbage truck to a polling place as a commentary on his waste removal background and a response to Biden’s remarks about Trump supporters. He suggested this gesture was a reminder of “Take Out the Trash Day” in Washington, D.C. As he launched his 2026 Senate campaign, he stated, “This campaign is not about climbing the ladder or pleasing the establishment.”

With his sights firmly on the Senate, Moore is ready to dive in if elected. “On day one, all we’re going to do is go over the hill and work for the people of Alabama. I think my relationships with the Senate, the House, and the White House will make me very effective as a senator,” he concluded.
