Senator Johnson claims HHS employees are undermining RFK Jr as Fauci recordings emerge

RFK Jr asserts that Fauci's diaries reveal his priority on self-promotion rather than public health.

Senate Investigation into Fauci’s Communications Faces Obstacles

Senator Ron Johnson, a Republican from Wisconsin, has voiced concerns about “career bureaucrats” within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), suggesting they are hindering efforts to uncover information related to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s former government-issued iPhone during the pandemic. Johnson believes these officials are deliberately creating obstacles for the investigation, which is also linked to efforts driven by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“We really don’t know what’s out there,” Johnson remarked to Fox News Digital. “HHS has information that even Bobby Kennedy, who leads it now, isn’t fully aware of.” His comments highlight a sense of uncertainty surrounding the depth of knowledge within the agency.

Concerns About Vaccine Messaging

As part of the broader investigation, Johnson received documents pertaining to Fauci’s private communications from HHS. Recently, the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Homeland Security, which he chairs, released a preliminary batch of messages. This includes over 34,000 text messages and 522 voicemails.

The initial documents revealed discussions between Fauci and prominent figures, such as Dr. Rochelle Walensky and Dr. Vivek Murthy. Within these messages, Fauci expressed concerns regarding the second mRNA vaccine dose’s effects on pregnant women in their first trimester. He even suggested that this could potentially be linked to first-trimester miscarriages, noting how some recipients experienced significant cytokine storms and fevers post-vaccine.

Fauci, while acknowledging that these revelations are likely just the beginning of a larger narrative, urged caution over the investigation, especially regarding the protection of personal information in these communications.

Public Safety and Regulatory Challenges

Johnson argued that the release of these documents is crucial for public health and informed consent. He stressed that Fauci’s apprehensions directly affect public safety, indicating there’s significant information to still unearth about HHS’s handling of the pandemic response.

He also suggested that Kennedy might have a better grasp on the agency’s inner workings moving forward, but raised doubts about how entrenched officials were previously involved in, as he put it, “a cover-up” concerning vaccine injuries.

“It’s a struggle to get transparency here. We weren’t even aware they had these phones locked away,” he noted. Johnson’s comments underline a broader frustration with the perceived lack of accountability within the agency during the previous administration. HHS has yet to respond to requests for comments on these claims.
