New York City residents are shocked after a man is accused of stabbing a tourist near Times Square on Saturday.
The suspect was sitting in a wheeled walker outside Port Gourmet Deli at West 43rd Street and Eighth Avenue shortly before the incident. He then got up from his seat brandishing a knife. new york post report on sunday.

When police arrived on the scene about two minutes later, they ordered the suspect to drop the knife and handcuffed him.
“The suspect in the attack, Cyril Destin, 62, has been arrested 14 times in the past 20 years, primarily for criminal mischief and trespassing, including four arrests since 2019. a police source told The Post,” the newspaper reported.
