An 81-year-old man was arrested nearby. Los Angeles A man released from prison on Thursday for tormenting his neighbors as a “serial slingshot shooter” died the day after his release.
Azusa Police Station Prince Raymond King was released from custody on May 28 and died of natural causes at his home the next day on May 29. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office determined the cause of death was heart disease.
Police were first called to King’s home after a neighbor called them for a “quality of life” complaint, complaining that King had broken windows and windshields and attempted to hit someone with a ball bearing.
Nearly a dozen residents came forward, alleging that King had been terrorizing their neighbors for a decade.

Azusa police said a search of King’s residence uncovered ball bearings and a slingshot.
California crime reform gets ‘unprecedented’ support
After his arrest, he was charged with five felony counts of criminal damage to property and two misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property for allegedly targeting a neighbor’s property with a slingshot.
His next court date was set for June 17 for a preliminary hearing.
