Ella Emhoff Shares Climate Anxiety on TikTok
Ella Emov, the stepdaughter of former Vice President Kamala Harris, took to TikTok on Thursday to voice her deep concern about climate change.
In a six-minute video, she expressed her “abhorrence” for the current environmental situation, stating that the weight of her “climate anxiety” feels overwhelming. “Like many, I’m honestly disgusted by what’s happening in the world: genocide, loss of life, deteriorating healthcare, and the constant anxiety surrounding affordability in our daily lives,” she remarked.

Emov, whose father is Doug, is estimated to have a net worth of $6 million as of 2024, while her stepmother has been Vice President since January 20, 2021. The combined net worth of Harris and Emov is believed to be over $8 million, largely due to real estate holdings in Los Angeles.
The fear of climate change has been amplified by the political left for years. Recently, MSNBC panelist Anand Giridharadas mentioned that his concern over climate change overshadows other issues, even with notable crimes happening in Washington, D.C., in 2025.
Additionally, Emov reflected on her anxiety and trauma when voting for Democratic candidate Zoran Mamdani, sharing her feelings as she returned to the same polling place where she had previously supported her stepmother.
“Walking to that same voting location we visited in November gives me hope for what New York and @Zohrankmamdani can bring,” she stated.
Emov is the daughter of Doug and his first wife, Kirsten McKinn. Their marriage ended in divorce after Doug’s infidelity with their nanny resulted in a pregnancy.
