Seton Hall squeaks past St. Joseph’s in OT to win NIT opener

He also had 10 rebounds for a double-double for Seton Hall (21-12).

Dylan Ade-Wusu sank three 3-pointers and made 6-of-12 from the field for 18 points for the Pirates, and Dre Davis added 14 points.

Eric Reynolds II led St. Joseph’s (21 wins, 14 losses) with 27 points and three steals.

For St. Joseph’s, Cristo Essandoco had 14 points and eight rebounds, and Xavier Brown had 13 points, six rebounds and 10 assists.

The Pirates will play North Texas, which defeated LSU 84-77, in the second round.

Seton Hall’s NCAA Tournament bubble burst last week with a 91-72 loss to St. John’s in the Big East Tournament quarterfinals.
