Shana Moakler’s Recent Comments Stir Controversy
Former beauty queen Shana Moakler made waves recently with a comment aimed at Kourtney Kardashian, the wife of her ex, Travis Barker. This comment, which has since been deleted, was spotted by some attentive fans on TikTok.
Moakler’s comment came in response to a video featuring Barker’s children—Atiana, 27, Landon, 22, and Alabama, 20—who attended a premiere for the documentary “Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.” The absence of Kardashian’s three kids—Mason, 18, Penelope, 14, and Reign, 11—was noticeable, as well as that of Barker and Kardashian’s young son, Rocky.
According to a screenshot shared by a fan, Moakler asked, “Where are her kids?” Clearly, she seemed to question Kardashian’s parenting choices during the event, which was not deemed appropriate for young children.
In defense of Kardashian, many social media users spoke out. One noted, “All her kids are under 18,” while another suggested that, “Obviously there’s a babysitter because it’s not a kid-friendly event.”
Interestingly, some fans even disputed Moakler’s critique, labeling her as “bitter” and “boring.” It seems her comments didn’t sit well with everyone.
The relationships between these families are, to say the least, complex. Moakler was married to Barker from 2004 to 2008, during which time they had Landon and Alabama. Before her romance with Barker, Moakler was already a mother to Atiana, who Barker has a supportive relationship with. On the other hand, Kardashian shares three children with her ex, Scott Disick, and has been married to Barker since 2022 after starting their relationship in late 2020.
Moakler has not been shy about expressing her feelings regarding Kardashian in the past. In a podcast episode from earlier this year, she questioned Kardashian’s co-parenting skills, saying, “I don’t think those women have it.” Moakler expressed that at times she felt Kardashian’s actions were disrespectful toward her children.
More recently, Moakler stated in an interview that she is “tired” of the Kardashian influence, calling the family “disgusting” in a podcast. She mentioned needing to separate herself from situations where her children became entangled in the “glitz and fame.”
