Shannen Doherty’s mother, Rosa Doherty, is stepping up to fulfill her late daughter’s wishes.
During a recent podcast episode, “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty,” Rosa announced that she would be taking over Shannen’s podcast, one month after the actress passed away from cancer at the age of 53.
“We’ve discussed what she wants from me, and now I’m going to do my best to continue this for her,” Rosa said on the Aug. 15 broadcast.

“And of course, I’m not her. I could never be her. I can’t speak as well as she does,” she continued, “but I’m here for you guys and I hope you’re here for me.”
“This podcast meant so much to Shanann because it allowed her to tell her story and her truth. And after so many years of stories and lies and a whole bunch of stuff mixed together, she finally said, ‘I want to do this. There are so many people who have supported me and cheered me on over the years, and I want to give them a chance to hear what my life is really like.'”

“That was part of the purpose of this podcast,” she said, “and what was so meaningful to me was getting to see her do this at such a special and necessary time for her. It was so helpful with everything she was going through.”
