Shannon Elizabeth Prioritizes OnlyFans over Dating

Shannon Elizabeth, known for her role in American Pie, has made it clear that she’s not seeking another romance for the time being. Following her recent divorce, which was finalized in May, she’s expressed a strong preference for focusing on her work with OnlyFans, stating that it represents “the only relationship I needed.”

In a recent appearance on Bill Maher’s podcast, Club Random, he asked her about the dating scene in Cape Town, where she moved in 2016 to dive into wildlife conservation. Elizabeth responded, “I just became single and, to be honest, I have no intention of dating again.” When Maher playfully insisted on her going out, she firmly replied, “No, no,” and later expressed her disinterest in dating, citing trust issues with people.

Elizabeth specifically pointed out that her interactions on OnlyFans feel more significant to her than typical dating: “The only relationships I need are the ones on OnlyFans with all of these people.” Despite Maher’s suggestions that she might change her mind about dating, Elizabeth remained steadfast in her decision.

Reflecting on her past, she commented on the potential for change in people’s perspectives, pointing to Halle Berry as someone who, despite once declaring she wouldn’t marry again, eventually tied the knot.

Elizabeth is comfortable with her decision to remain single at this point in her life, saying, “At this point, it’s totally okay to not be with anyone or not want anything.” Her venture into OnlyFans has not only proved to be a financial boon—reportedly netting over $1.2 million in her first week—but it has redefined her relationship with work and success.

She shared that acting opportunities have become less frequent for her, leading her to live primarily off her savings over the last decade. “Being able to get myself back to a place where I’m not struggling… has definitely given me more freedom,” Elizabeth stated.

Looking forward, she aims to branch out into directing while continuing to produce content for OnlyFans, which she noted does not currently include nudity. “I have to be a little mysterious,” she said, emphasizing her ongoing exploration of the platform’s potential.

Additionally, a portion of her earnings from OnlyFans will go to support her wildlife conservation nonprofit. Elizabeth had previously indicated she’s not concerned about any backlash regarding her involvement with the platform. “People make assumptions about creators on the platform,” she said, but she’s found her community to be supportive and positive.

Her encouragement for other actresses contemplating a move to OnlyFans is quite simple: “Let’s just do it.” She emphasized the freedom that comes with the platform, allowing creators to explore at their own pace. “If you want to do it for a month, try it for a month and see if you like it,” she suggested, sharing that she’s in talks with friends about joining her on the platform.

Ultimately, Elizabeth expressed a sense of missed opportunity with technology having advanced, reflecting, “It’s something we wanted to do 25 years ago, but the technology didn’t exist yet. I just wish we had done it sooner.”
