In Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Final Series on Wednesday, Josh Hart’s wife, Shannon, reacted to a video where the Knicks player and Celtics’ Jaylen Brown seemed entangled in an awkward moment.
During the second half at TD Garden, Brown appeared to grab Hart inappropriately while navigating a screen.
Shannon described the situation as “strange” on X, where she shared a slow-motion clip of the incident.
Many users echoed her sentiment in the comments, with some humorously suggesting, “Take him to Shannon!”
One comment noted, “It’s very strange,” reflecting a mix of confusion and amusement.
Another commenter added, “Fighting for Ya Man Sis,” highlighting the camaraderie among fans.
During this chaotic moment, Hart was trying to alert the referee about an issue with his contact lens as the game was tied at 59-59 early in the third quarter.
This followed a more serious situation where Hart had previously been fouled by Celtics player Luke Cornett, leaving him with a significant cut near his left brow that was bleeding profusely.
After a brief stint on the sidelines to address his injury, Hart returned to the game and successfully made two free throws.
In the midst of all this, tensions escalated again when Brown and Hart pushed each other following the earlier incident.
Hart had a standout performance with a team-leading 24 points, shooting 15-7 from the field, along with seven rebounds and two assists.
Unfortunately, the Knicks struggled in the second half and ultimately lost the game 127-102, reducing their series lead to 3-2. The next game will take place at Madison Square Garden at 8 PM on Friday.
