Shaquille O’Neal has put to rest any speculation about a romantic link with Sophie Lane, a star on an adult content platform, following their appearance together in Las Vegas for her 21st birthday celebration.
The NBA icon took on the role of DJ at Encore Beach Club that weekend. A TikTok user, Noah Glenn Carter, had previously suggested that some people were unhappy about the age gap, noting that Shaq is 32 years older than Lane.
In response, Shaquille joked in a comment on Carter’s TikTok, saying, “I won’t date that young. I’ll date your mom and you’ll have siblings.”
Carter humorously replied, “My mother said no.”
TMZ reported that Shaq also added a quirky remark, “Tryna Create Indo Tryna Create Me Don’t Me Sulap You Dude. Tell your mom to hit me in my sky.”
Lane, who gained attention for sharing her experience at the party, expressed her excitement about meeting Shaquille. “I met Shaq in Las Vegas and he brought me on stage! So cool!” she wrote on her platform.

Shaquille has four children with his ex-wife Shaunie Henderson and a daughter, Taahhira, from a previous relationship. Henderson’s son Miles also adopted the O’Neal surname from her past.
