This guy is 7’9″! …7’9″!!
Olivier Riou, a player on the Florida Gators men’s basketball team, has reportedly reached an astounding height of 7 feet 9 inches. Official Website Riou, the team leader, has already Guinness World Records He broke his own record and set a new one as the tallest teenager on Earth.
A native of Montreal, Canada, Rioux attended high school at IMG Academy in Florida before joining the Gators. (RELATED: SMU pumps $159M into athletic programs like it did in its heyday)
According to the University of Florida basketball website, Rioux was an impressive 6’1″ at age 8, reached 6’11” by the time he was in sixth grade, and surpassed the seven-foot mark before the seventh grade.
Liu was already listed in the Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest teenager in the 1980s. 16He is over 7 feet 5 inches tall.

Olivier Rioux, a freshman center enrolled at the University of Florida, is listed at 7 feet 9 inches tall on the Florida Gators website.
If this is correct, it would make him the tallest college basketball player of all time.
