Original Star Wars Cuts to Screen at BFI Film Festival
The original Star Wars films, which premiered in theaters back in 1977 and 1978, have been quite rare to see publicly since George Lucas produced special editions of the trilogy in the 1990s. However, fans will have a unique chance to watch the unaltered version on the opening night of the British Film Institute (BFI) film festival on June 12th.
To celebrate this occasion, we invite you to share your experiences of watching Star Wars in theaters during its initial release in the late ’70s. Your memories could help capture the magic of that time.
