Sidney Sweeney’s Bold Statement on Red Carpet

At Variety’s “Power of Women” event in Los Angeles, Sidney Sweeney made headlines with her striking sheer silver dress. Alongside her, Sharon Stone took the opportunity to express her support for Sweeney, affirming the actress’s right to “use what your mom gave you.”

During the star-studded evening, Stone lauded Sweeney for confidently embracing her image. As they both prepare for the upcoming third season of Euphoria, Stone delivered a heartfelt endorsement, noting the importance of owning one’s sexuality and authenticity.

“It’s okay to use what mommy gave me,” Stone commented on the red carpet. She further elaborated, “It’s hard to be sexy. I think we all know that. It’s okay to embrace your sexiness and try everything. Everyone has their own uniqueness, and they should celebrate it. Who are you not to be beautiful? Your existence isn’t an accident.”

Stone shared that she had spoken with Sweeney amid the backlash surrounding the actress’s campaign for American Eagle’s “Good Jeans,” which had stirred some controversy.

Reflecting on her time with Sweeney, Stone cited a memorable comparison to Jane Goodall’s experience. When Goodall appeared on the cover of Life magazine during her research, some critics felt her looks overshadowed the science. Goodall famously quipped that it would help fund her research.

In response to those who critiqued her, Sweeney reportedly said, “Yeah, I think I made a billion dollars at the jeans company, and that’s fine. I’m going to get another job.” This shows her remarkable resilience, especially after the recent negative feedback regarding her Good Jeans campaign.

The campaign, meant to be a humorous take on genetics, sparked a discussion online. Critics accused it of touching on themes of eugenics, while others defended it as a playful pun. In response, American Eagle clarified that the ad was intended to celebrate Sweeney’s story and promote confidence among all customers.

Despite the controversies, Sweeney continues to thrive, balancing multiple projects while solidifying her status as a rising star in Hollywood. With Season 3 of Euphoria in the works, her presence on and off the screen remains as vibrant as ever.
