Cleveland Browns Quarterback Shedeur Sanders Reflects on Preseason

Shedeur Sanders wrapped up his first preseason with the Cleveland Browns, sharing a hopeful message on social media this past Sunday.

He posted a series of photos featuring his teammates gathered around him, eagerly asking the rookie quarterback to sign their memorabilia. It seemed like a special moment for him.

“Thanks for all the support I’ve received,” he wrote. “There was a lot to take in this preseason, but I’m really thankful for the chance to be part of it. I keep learning and improving each day under those in charge.”

His final preseason appearance had its challenges, but it looks like his position on the team is secure, especially after the Browns decided to cut Pro Bowl quarterback Tyler Huntley. Reports suggest that Cleveland might carry four quarterbacks on their 53-man roster instead of the usual two or three.

After the game, Sanders expressed his belief that he deserves to make the final roster. “I’ve put in the work as a player. I’m trying my best, and I feel like everyone believes they belong on this team,” he said. It’s interesting how he mentioned that when players are asked if they feel like they belong, they often see it through their own perspective.

Throughout the preseason, Sanders held the No. 4 spot on the depth chart, leaving some uncertainty about where he’ll stand as the regular season approaches.
