Shedeur Sanders refuses to shake rival QB’s hand after Colorado’s win

The college football rivalry between Colorado State University and Colorado State College is alive and well.

After the Buffaloes beat the Rams 28-9 on Saturday, Colorado State quarterback Shedul Sanders refused to shake hands with Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi at the 50-yard line.

Instead, Sanders criticized Fowler Nicolosi for past comments.

“I was just talking trash on Instagram,” Sanders can be heard saying in a video of the exchange. “I was just talking on Instagram. Our business is our business. Don't bullshit on me.”

Shedur Sanders chose not to shake hands with Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi after the game.

As she walked away, Fowler Nicolosi told Sanders to “keep talking.”

Earlier last week, Fowler Nicolosi added fuel to the fire by offering his thoughts on how last year's match unfolded in Boulder.

“They went into the game with that attitude, they thought it was going to be a breeze,” he said in an interview about Colorado's 43-35 win. “They saw the report that they were down by 27.5 points. They woke up to a harsh reality pretty quickly. I think it just goes to show that all the hype and media hype and all of that can only help you so far.”

“At the end of the day, we'll have to pit 11 of their players against our 11 players and see who wants to win more. We'll see how far their Instagram following will sway them.”

Additionally, Fowler Nicolosi made a “too small” gesture toward Travis Hunter during Saturday's game.

The Colorado cornerback/wide receiver intercepted a Fowler Nicolosi pass late in the game.

Colorado State coach Deion Sanders joined in, calling out Colorado State's “disrespect” in his post-game press conference.

“It was a great game, a personal game, a heartfelt game, an emotional game,” he said. “That's the way they play. We just want to play football. The disrespect was inappropriate all week. A couple of their players attacked the whole team and a couple of our players, so that's the way it is. So we knew going into the game it was going to be a little bit personal, and it was.”
