Shedeur Sanders’ Game and Viral Moment

Shedeur Sanders had a standout game last weekend, his third start for the Cleveland Browns. However, rather than focusing on his performance, social media buzzed with chatter about his attire.

A screenshot of Sanders after the Browns’ narrow 31-29 loss to the Tennessee Titans gained viral attention, igniting speculation that he was wearing something like underwear.

Interestingly, Sanders’ younger brother, Shiloh, video-called him after noticing the online reactions. In a light-hearted moment, he joked, “Let’s cut to the chase, brother. Did you wear a thong?”

To which Sanders responded, “Come on, bro, you forgot I have a back injury, right? That’s why I put tape on my back. But it’s funny how it actually looked like that.” Shiloh admitted he never bought into the rumors but found the whole situation strange.

Sanders’ Performance

Despite the distractions, Sanders delivered his best performance yet, racking up 364 passing yards, along with three touchdowns and another score on the ground. This stat marked the second-highest passing yards by a rookie quarterback selected after the 144th pick since 1966.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski reflected on Sanders’ play, acknowledging the ups and downs that come with youth. “He fought the whole game, and we knew he would too. There were some really, really good moments, and he’ll continue to learn from the plays he wants to improve,” he noted.

Though the Sunday loss extinguished the Browns’ playoff hopes, the team has committed to keeping Sanders as their starting quarterback for the remaining four games of the season.
