Shedeur Sanders returning to Colorado for senior season with Deion

Colorado will retain its signal caller for the 2024 season.

Deion Sanders' son, Shedur, played quarterback for the Buffaloes last season, but he is returning to the school for his senior season and has revealed why.

He posted on X on Friday night that Colorado finished the season 4-8 in his first year as the team's coach and that Colorado has “the pieces” for 2024.

“Guys, I know I'm not going to declare this year. This year we have all the ingredients we need to be a huge success,” he wrote.

Sanders put up some great numbers last season under center and out of the shotgun.

In his first campaign with Colorado, Sanders completed 69.3 percent of his passes, threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and three interceptions for a 151.7 rating.

Sanders also ran for four touchdowns.

The Buffaloes are having a strong season, Coach Prime's first Power 5 campaign, starting the season with three straight wins, including a win over 2022 national title runner-up TCU.

Colorado also defeated Nebraska and rival Colorado State.

Unfortunately for the Buffs, they got off to a hot start, going 1-8, only defeating Arizona State in the closing stages.

As the Buffaloes put together an improved roster on paper for 2024, Coach Sanders is aggressively pursuing talent, including through the transfer portal.

According to Colorado 247 Sports We have secured 20 transfers and that number continues to grow.which includes six four-star players.

His son has also been involved in recruiting efforts, posting a petition urging Alabama players to move to Boulder in the wake of Nick Saban's sudden retirement.
