Shedeur Sanders shoves ref, ‘lucky’ to avoid ejection in Colorado loss

There was certainly a scenario where Colorado had to go through the final 20 minutes of Saturday night's blowout loss to Kansas without star QB Shedule Sanders.

Sanders, the son of Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders and projected to be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, was sacked on third down with Colorado leading by nine points in the third quarter. Fox rules analyst Mike Pereira said on the broadcast that he was “lucky” not to get sent off for shoving referee Kevin Marr.
