Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), who is defending his seat against Republican candidate Bernie Moreno, backed by President Trump, is trying to hide his ideological alignment with Vice President Kamala Harris, Moreno said during a television appearance. Breitbart News Daily.
Moreno was responding to reports that his opponent, Brown, will skip the Democratic National Convention and refrain from campaigning with Harris.
“He’s hiding from her… As a lifelong businessman, there are things about politics that I don’t understand. This guy fully supports Kamala Harris and says he loves her for so many reasons, yet he won’t campaign with her and of course he won’t go to the convention because he’s trying to mislead voters,” Moreno explained, arguing that Brown is trying to have “both ends,” which he said is ridiculous because Brown is just as extreme as Harris.
“He supports everything Kamala Harris has to offer, but he’s pretending to be a moderate on the campaign trail, so we’re going to expose him. This guy is the top radical left wing. You know, Mike, there aren’t a lot of average Democrats speaking up these days. Their party is totally controlled by the most extreme people in their party, people like Kamala Harris and Sherrod Brown. We’re going to expose them,” Moreno said, praising Breitbart News for its collaboration.
“But, you know, most of the media is against them. The media is covering them up,” he said, explaining that America is witnessing “the greatest rebranding in the history of the world” – that Harris is a “healthy moderate.”

Moreno further asserted this point, clarifying that Brown votes with President Joe Biden and takes the same position.
“He has a radical left-wing agenda. That’s what he really believes in. You know, he covered up the absolute decline of Joe Biden, and of course Kamala Harris, which has put the country in grave danger,” he continued.
“They covered it up because it was politically convenient… But the moment Joe Biden became a political liability, which of course happened in that awful debate… and of course they threw him in the ditch. Sherrod Brown finally called on him to step down a few weeks later. And of course, they all rallied around Kamala Harris, as Sherrod Brown did, and now of course he’s hiding from her,” Moreno added.
