The Shiba Inu ecosystem has taken a major step forward with the introduction of the closed beta of Shiba Eternity, the first game built on the Shibarium blockchain. Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, made a comprehensive announcement at X today, detailing the game’s release timeline and features, marking a key moment in the popular meme coin’s transition to a more utility-based ecosystem.
Shiba Inu releases first Shibarium-based game
Lucy’s Announcement detail It’s a complete revamp from the previous version of the game. “Attention Leash Stakers! The closed beta for Shiba Eternity is now live. This isn’t the old game with a few updates, it’s a full transition to Web3 with major upgrades,” Lucie revealed.
The game currently runs on the Shibarium mainnet, which supports non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This integration enables a decentralized gaming experience, with players’ inventory cards represented as NFTs, ensuring verifiable ownership and tradability within the ecosystem.
The game’s core architecture is now based on the Shibarium blockchain, and this transition will enable a seamless and secure gaming experience, leveraging blockchain technology for asset management and in-game transactions.
Additionally, Shiba Eternity introduces a competitive ranked mode where players will take part in a 15-day tournament.
Rankings in these tournaments will be determined by player performance, with rewards being distributed based on final placement. The top 25 players in ranked modes will be offered exclusive tournaments featuring seasonal events offering special rewards.
Of note, the entire game has received significant improvements, including an updated tutorial, a refined menu interface, streamlined armory management, and smoother overall performance. A new rewards system offers improved quests, faster game progression, and a special welcome gift for players transitioning from the Web2 version of the game.
Release Schedule
The first access to Shiba Eternity’s closed beta was granted today, August 21, exclusively to those who have staked LEASH tokens. These participants can join the game by connecting their smart wallets via ShibaSwap. This early access phase is important to gather user feedback and ensure stability before a wider release.
Following this, on September 5th, access will be expanded to include owners of certain NFTs within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, namely The Shiboshis and The Shiba Eternity Lore collections. The release of the open beta has not yet been announced. “Don’t have LEASH or NFTs? Don’t worry! The open beta is coming soon, giving everyone a chance to join Dogjo,” said Lucy.
Lucy also issued a security warning, emphasizing the importance of being vigilant against scams: “Beware of scams! Only connect your wallet from official platforms. Never click on links from X or other unknown sources. Always manually enter and double-check the official website address before connecting your wallet.”
