Shocking video shows 6-year-old boy allegedly being kidnapped. Then family members take matters into their own hands.

A 56-year-old man was caught on video allegedly luring a 6-year-old boy from his Florida home in broad daylight with the promise of a toy, according to reports. However, the alleged kidnappers were reportedly accused by the boy's brother and cousin.

This was announced by the Miami-Dade Police Department. statement Jose Reynaldo Martinez Reyes said he approached the boy Saturday around 2:30 p.m. Surveillance footage obtained by WTVJ-TV A man is shown playing soccer with a boy outside the boy's house.

“His older brother came in and pushed him back and hit him just to get him back and get him into the car.”

Police said Martinez-Reyes “lured” the boy on foot from his Northwest Miami residence with the promise of buying him toys.

“The guy came up to me and said, 'Do you want to come with me?' And I said sure,” said 6-year-old Jake Rivera. WTVJ.

The boy was playing soccer with his older brother in front of the house, but the 15-year-old brother went inside to go to the bathroom. The older brother returned and immediately noticed the boy was missing and immediately notified his adult cousin.

“I was sleeping and my cousin woke me up and said that a man had kidnapped my little cousin,” said Alfredo Velasquez, the boy's cousin.

Police said: “After realizing the victim was missing, his brother and an adult family friend began a frantic search. The two were found more than a mile from their home, walking hand-in-hand down the road. “We have found the victim and the subject.”

Velasquez said there was a physical confrontation with the alleged kidnapper.

“He came in, pushed him back and hit him so he could get him back and get him into the car,” Velasquez told WTVJ.

The child was removed from the alleged kidnapper and placed in a waiting vehicle. When police arrived at the scene, they found civilians holding Martinez-Reyes.

During the investigation, detectives determined that Martinez-Reyes had no familial relationship with the boy. Martinez Reyes was arrested on charges of kidnapping and interfering with custody.
