Shooting at Ohio manufacturing plant leaves 1 dead, 5 injured: police

According to local police, one has been injured after being shot at a cosmetics manufacturing plant in Ohio.

New Albanny, Ohio, posted on the website that the police responded to “active shooting status” at a KDC/One manufacturing plant just before 11:00 pm on Tuesday.

The details of the case were limited, but the city confirmed that one was killed and the other five were taken to the hospital.

Police said the suspect was identified by the authorities and was in the process of being detained.

Greg Jones, the chief of New Albanie police, noted that the suspect was unable to say if he was a factory employee, and it seems to be a “targeted attack” at this time.

The update posted on the city website around 2:30 am stated that executives had finished evacuating employees from the building. Jones said about 150 people evacuated to a nearby building.

The survey is in the first stage, and the authorities have called for the suspect or those who have information about the case to 614-855-1234.
