Shooting Occurs at Texas ICE Facility, Suspect and Several Victims Confirmed Dead

Shooting at ICE Facility in Dallas

This morning, a shooter opened fire at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Dallas, Texas, resulting in multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter has since died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Noem mentioned the ongoing situation in a post on X, stating that while the motive remains unclear, ICE personnel are facing increasing violence. “It must stop,” she emphasized. Local police responded around 6:40 a.m. in the area of North Stemmons Freeway, where they found the shooter had targeted the ICE building from an adjacent structure. Reports indicate that three individuals were injured, including two ICE detainees who have died.

This incident follows a troubling pattern of violence against immigration facilities in Texas since the return of President Donald Trump to office.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton reacted on X, urging people to pray for the victims and promising to fight against the alarming rise in targeted attacks on ICE and law enforcement. Meanwhile, the FBI’s Dallas office has been active at the crime scene, though they did not provide immediate comment.
