Arkansas State Police confirmed to Fox News Digital that two people were killed and seven others were injured in a shooting outside a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas, around 11:30 a.m. Friday.
A police officer was among the injured, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
State police said the shooter was shot and seriously injured by an officer and is in custody.

Witnesses at Holt Builders Supply, across the street from the shooting at the Mad Butcher grocery store, said they heard multiple gunshots and saw victims being rushed from the scene.

Witnesses reported the disturbance outside the Mad Butcher grocery store between 11.30am and 1pm local time on Friday.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on social media, “We have received reports of the tragic shooting in Fordyce and are in constant contact with State Police on the scene. I thank the police and first responders who acted swiftly and bravely to save lives. My prayers go out to the victims and all those affected by this horrific incident.”
