Details Emerge about White House Correspondents’ Dinner Shooting Suspect

According to a senior official from the Trump administration, the suspect involved in the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Cole Thomas Allen, had prepared a manifesto and was known to participate in the No Kings protests.

Allen, 31, reportedly detailed in his manifesto his intentions to target officials from the Trump administration. This information was confirmed to media sources, including a report by FOX News. He is said to have shared this manifesto with family members prior to the incident.

On the night of the shooting, Allen allegedly forced his way into the Washington Hilton, where a dinner was taking place. Reports indicate that he was armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and several knives. In a social media post, it was mentioned that his brother notified law enforcement after seeing the manifesto.

Further insights suggest that Allen was engaged in anti-Trump activism through participation in the No Kings protests, was a frequent visitor to shooting ranges, and was associated with a group identified as the “Wide Awakes.”

The Secret Service has questioned Allen’s sister, Brianna, who expressed that her brother often made radical claims and talked about plans to address what he saw as problems in the world.

Andrew Corbett, an executive producer, indicated that the manifesto contained multiple references to violence and firearms, with one particular post labeling President Trump as the Antichrist. There was also mention of resistance against legal actions taken by the Trump administration regarding transgender individuals purchasing firearms, suggesting a complex and alarming mindset.

It was reported that Allen legally obtained his firearm, having purchased it from a firearms dealer in Los Angeles. Following the shooting, President Trump shared his thoughts on the matter, describing Allen as a “sick” individual with a clear hatred for Christians. He pointed out that the suspect’s family had even made complaints to law enforcement about his behavior.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche mentioned that Allen traveled by train from Los Angeles to Chicago and then to Washington, D.C., checking into the Hilton a day or two prior to the dinner event.
