Emails Reveal Jeffrey Epstein’s Proposal for Legal Representation of Melinda Gates

Recently uncovered emails indicate that Jeffrey Epstein had considered engaging well-known attorney Kathryn Lemler to represent Melinda Gates, the late wife of Bill Gates.

In 2017, a third party informed Epstein that Bill Gates wanted to speak with him, but was being held back by his wife, as shown in documents released by the Justice Department.

Epstein then suggested to Lemler—who was working at Latham & Watkins at that time—to have a conversation with Melinda Gates. He offered to provide her with “another side of Jeffrey,” referring to Lemler as a “great advocate.”

Epstein wrote, “Bill met his friend Kathy. She wants to sit down with Melinda and give her another perspective. [J]effrey,” to a contact whose name was removed from the emails, adding praise for Lemler’s feminist advocacy.

A representative for Lemler clarified that she was never Epstein’s attorney.

“Ms. Lemler had no influence over how Epstein characterized their interactions,” stated spokesperson Jennifer Connelly, emphasizing that Lemler never represented Epstein in any capacity, whether to Melinda Gates, the media, or any officials.

A source close to Melinda French Gates mentioned that she has never met Lemler.

The latest batch of Epstein’s emails has reignited discussions about Gates’ ties to the disgraced financier.

The most controversial materials include unsent draft emails, dated July 18, 2013, that Epstein apparently recorded for himself in his account.

These drafts claim Epstein arranged sexual encounters involving Gates and assisted him in obtaining drugs to manage sexually transmitted diseases.

In the drafts, Epstein alleged that Gates sought help from his advisors to acquire medication following an encounter with a “Russian woman.”

However, CNN’s KFile noted that these unsent emails remain unverified.

Bill Gates has not faced any criminal charges related to Epstein and firmly denied the allegations, labeling them as false and absurd, suggesting they are part of Epstein’s efforts to entrap and defame him.

A spokesperson for Gates stated: “These claims are completely absurd and false.” They added that the released documents only highlight Epstein’s dissatisfaction with having lost his connection to Gates.

While Gates recognized that his past meetings with Epstein were a serious mistake, he denies any involvement in wrongdoing or illicit activities associated with Epstein.

The spokesperson clarified, “Mr. Gates has never visited Epstein’s island, attended any parties, or participated in any illegal activities with him.”

In one of the unsent emails, Epstein implied that Boris Nikolic, a longtime advisor to Gates, was entangled in “morally wrong conduct,” including aiding Gates in obtaining drugs for what Epstein termed “illegal trysts.” Gates has dismissed these claims as unsubstantiated.

Melinda French Gates has previously mentioned Bill Gates’ affiliation with Epstein as a deciding factor in their divorce. Recently, she recalled how these recent revelations had cast a shadow over certain years of their marriage.

Reportedly, Lemler’s connections with Epstein extended beyond mere professional overlaps, spanning around five years leading up to his 2019 arrest, characterized by numerous discussions and exchanges regarding both legal and personal matters.

Lemler has consistently stated that her relationship with Epstein was strictly professional, focused on her role as a defense attorney, and expressed regret about knowing him.
