If you ask Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) about this, he will tell you that he has no problem with transgender people participating in women's sports, especially in college. That's because there are only a small number of transgender people competing. Forget about some women whose dreams were shattered because of their biological men. There are only a few people like that, so it doesn't matter. This is Durbin's ridiculous idea.
Lawmakers recently had the opportunity to address NCAA President Charlie Baker, who was in Washington, D.C., for a hearing, and Durbin was one of the politicians in attendance. When Durbin had the chance, he asked Baker how many athletes there are in the NCAA and how many of them are transgender. Mr. Baker continued: 510,000 athletes Fewer than 10 of the people who participate in college sports are transgender.
Durbin responded with a Twitter post urging everyone to flatly ignore transgender people competing in women's sports, as they are not a number that has real impact. She went on to say that we should look for ways to “actually improve women's sports,” forcing them to compete against biological males and forcing them to share locker rooms with men. It shattered all respect for the woman who was treated.
Well, this didn't end well for Durbin. Since then, he has been completely dragged into the American public.
Your ignorance is inexplicable, Mr. Dick. You might want to check that out.
