Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles had a fun moment reflecting on what they’ve accomplished so far and the 2024 Olympics.
USA gymnastics teammates posted a photo to Instagram on Sunday night of themselves posing together wearing sports bras with “Team USA” written on the back and red and white shorts, looking out onto a balcony in Paris (presumably the Olympic Village).
In one photo posted by Biles, the two are looking at each other, in one Biles is making kissing faces and in another she is flashing a peace sign in the air.
Biles’ caption read: “Red, White, Biles & Chiles.”
Chiles posted more photos, including one in which she playfully yawns while Biles holds up a peace sign in the air.
The post also drew a comment from WNBA rookie star Angle Reese.
“I’m a huge fan😍,” Reese wrote.
Biles, 25, and Chiles, 23, led the women’s gymnastics team to their third team gold medal in the last four Olympic Games.
The tournament was especially rewarding for Biles, who struggled with Tokyo’s “winding roads” in 2021.
2024 Paris Olympics
Biles also won gold in the all-around and vault, and on Monday added two individual gold medals on the balance beam and floor, giving her 10th Olympic medal (seven golds).
If she wins both events, she would tie the all-time record for most Olympic gold medals won by an American female gymnast.
After winning gold on the vault, Biles expressed some frustration with the question, “What’s next?”
“We should stop asking athletes what happens next after they win an Olympic medal,” she says. X I wrote this on Saturday.
“Enjoy this moment you’ve worked for your whole life.”
Biles has not ruled out competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics
“I wouldn’t say never,” Biles told reporters Saturday. “The next Olympics are in my country, so who knows what’s going to happen. I’m really old.”
