Simone Biles made the statement during podium training on Thursday ahead of the 2024 Olympics.
Biles, competing in her third Olympic Games, completed a Yurchenko double pike vault, also known as the Biles 2, during a practice session at the Bercy Arena in Paris on Thursday.
The 27-year-old gymnast was the first woman to perform the move and earned naming rights.
Biles (double twist and double somersault landing off the balance beam) is also named after her.
Biles looked strong and confident after a two-year hiatus following the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Biles withdrew from multiple events in Tokyo after experiencing “twisties,” a condition in which gymnasts get an emotional block while twisting their bodies in the air and can lead to serious injury.

Biles flawlessly performed Biles II during Thursday’s dress rehearsal ahead of the start of the Summer Olympics, which run from July 26 to Aug. 11.
When she stepped onto the mat the crowd gasped in amazement.
Both Biles and Biles II are difficult and have been devalued due to safety concerns in women’s gymnastics. According to NBC.

Her husband, Bears safety Jonathan Owens, left training camp on Monday night and flew to Paris to support her. According to WGNTV.

Biles will compete in the women’s qualifying event for the first time in Paris on Sunday, July 28.
