Simone Biles had plenty to celebrate on Sunday after a strong showing in the individual all-around qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In a steamy video shared on her TikTok page, Biles, who earned a total score of 59.566 points to put Team USA in the lead with 172.296 points, can be seen dancing in a leotard ahead of Thursday’s all-around final.
“Don’t mind me doing stupid things,” the seven-time Olympic medalist captioned the video, adding the hashtags “Olympics,” “Paris” and “gymnastics.”
Biles, making a highly anticipated return to the Olympic stage after the “Twisties” furore at the Tokyo Olympics, earned scores of 15.300 on the vault, 14.600 on the floor exercise, 14.433 on the uneven bars and 14.733 on the balance beam.
It was a day full of joy for Biles on Sunday, but it began with injury concerns after the four-time Olympic gold medalist appeared to twist her ankle while warming up at the Bercy Arena.
Biles performed with her leg taped, but after the performance, her gymnastics coach, Cecil Lundy, said the star gymnast “felt a little something in her calf.”
“I’m really proud of her, I’m really proud of what she’s been through and that she’s showing the world what she’s capable of,” Randy said.
Biles, who won gold in the individual all-around at the 2016 Rio Olympics, is looking to add to her Olympic medal collection this summer and is receiving support from around the world.
Biles, 27, withdrew from a number of competitions in Tokyo three years ago following the “twisties” phenomenon, in which gymnasts can lose track of where they are in the air and make landings dangerous.
Many of Biles’ 1.9 million TikTok followers continued to leave messages of encouragement in the comments section of Sunday’s video as the 2024 Olympics continue.

“Go GOAT!!!! Love you!” one fan shouted.
“Nothing beats waking up at 5:30 on a Sunday and seeing the five of you. Unbelievable. Unparalleled. Unbelievable,” posted another.
In addition to Biles, the country’s all-time most decorated gymnast, the U.S. team also includes Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, New Jersey’s Helzie Rivera and reigning Olympic all-around champion Suni Lee, who placed third in Sunday’s all-around with 56.132 points.
