Sixth Suspect Charged in ISIS-inspired Terror Case
A sixth individual has been charged in relation to an investigation concerning a terrorist attack inspired by ISIS in Michigan around Halloween. This latest arrest was confirmed by FBI Director Kash Patel on Thursday, taking place in Kent, Washington.
New Jersey Assistant U.S. Attorney Alina Haba identified the arrested suspect as 19-year-old Saeed Ali Mireh. Haba also announced charges against two other 19-year-olds, Thomas Kern Jimenez-Guzell and Milo Sedanet, from Montclair, New Jersey, related to the same case.
Jimenez-Guzell, a college freshman, is accused of conspiring to offer material support to a terrorist organization. Sedanet is facing accusations of making interstate threats and engaging in foreign commerce. Reports indicate that Jimenez-Guzell was apprehended at Newark International Airport while preparing to board a flight to Istanbul.
Haba mentioned that between early October 2024 and early November 2025, Jimenez-Guzell, along with a Washington resident charged with sending threats, used encrypted messaging apps to organize travel to Turkey and then Syria to align with ISIS fighters.
“During their communications, they laid out travel plans, discussed physical training, weapons—including firearms and IEDs—and how to elude law enforcement,” Haba stated. “They pledged allegiance to ISIS and were plotting attacks in our country.”
A third suspect, Ayoub Nasser, also 19, from Dearborn, Michigan, faced similar charges on Tuesday. All three from Michigan are charged with conspiring to support ISIS and possessing firearms intended for acts of terrorism.
In total, six individuals have been indicted as part of this terrorism investigation.
