More than a week after Election Day, seven House races remain unvoted and the final outcome of the 2024 election has yet to be determined.
Republican Donald Trump will be re-elected as president, giving Republicans a majority in the Senate. Republicans are expected to maintain a majority in the House, but it's unclear what that majority will be until all votes are counted.
The current balance of power is 218 seats for Republicans and 210 seats for Democrats.
California's 9th Congressional District was the latest race to be called early Friday evening, with the Associated Press projecting Democrat Josh Harder to win re-election over Republican challenger Kevin Lincoln.
On Thursday, Democrat Janelle Bynum was expected to oust incumbent Republican Rep. Lori Chavez Delemer in Oregon's 5th Congressional District.
Several undecided House races are being fought in California, but as of Tuesday only about three-quarters of the votes statewide had been counted. California's Secretary of State on Thursday released a plea for patience and announced that results would be certified on Dec. 13.
