‘Sloppy and False’ of Walz to Say He Carried Weapons ‘in War’

Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz has been criticized by the left. The Washington Post For falsely claiming to have carried weapons “during the war.”

In a 2018 video released by the Harris campaign on Tuesday, Walz, who served in the National Guard for 24 years, was speaking about gun control and making comments that have since sparked widespread defamatory allegations.

“And I can assure you that the weapons of war that I carried in the war are the only place those weapons are kept,” he said in the video, though he never served in a combat zone.

post Fact checker Glenn Kessler concludes his article, “Assessing Tim Walz’s military service claims” by saying: Wrote, “There is no evidence that Waltz took part in the fighting.”

Given that he was writing in light of Waltz’s claim that he had carried weapons “in war,” Kessler added the seemingly odd disclaimer that Waltz “does not claim to have done so.”

“Waltz’s language is sloppy and false. He was carrying weapons of war but was not at war,” Kessler said in an official “assessment” of the comments.

Waltz has also faced intense scrutiny over his own position, Breitbart News reported.

Waltz served in the Minnesota Army National Guard and retired at the rank of Sergeant (E-8). However, his biography on his official website lists a higher rank in which he served briefly, but which was ultimately revoked because he did not meet all of the requirements for that rank. However, his biography suggests he retired at the rank of Command Sergeant (E-9).

In his review, Kessler wrote that Waltz’s claims that he misrepresented his rank and committed defamation were “shaky.”

“Although he held the title he claims for a total of seven months, it would be more accurate to say he ‘served as a Master Sergeant’ rather than directly claiming the title,” Kessler concluded.
