Slovakian Olympic swimmer collapses after women’s 200m individual medley heat

A horrifying scene unfolded on the pool deck. Paris La Défense Arena On Friday morning, a Slovakian swimmer collapsed after qualifying for the women’s 200m individual medley.

According to reports, the 21-year-old swimmer appeared to collapse shortly after leaving the pool. She was quickly met by six medical personnel, given oxygen and then carried away on a stretcher.

The Slovak Olympic team Athletic Potocka, who has asthma, reportedly suffered an asthma attack after the heat and collapsed.

Officials added that she was conscious and receiving oxygen therapy and would continue to be monitored at the hospital.

Potocka finished in seventh place on Friday with a time of 2:14.20, which was not enough to advance to the semifinals and was eliminated from the tournament.

This will be Potocka’s first Olympic Games. He is a four-time finalist for the 2024 European Championships and made his debut at the 2018 World Short Course Championships in China.

In swimming, Team USA has won the most medals with a total of 20. Currently, Australia leads in swimming with 5 gold medals.
