Smart U.S. Military Mission Detained Maduro

Trump Praises Military Operation to Capture Maduro

In a brief phone conversation, President Donald Trump described the U.S. military operation that led to the capture of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro as “amazing.” This announcement came shortly after the attack was reported.

Trump shared, “A lot of good plans, a lot of great troops and people,” during a 50-second call with a newspaper at around 4:30 a.m., just ten minutes following the U.S. announcement on social media about Maduro’s capture.

“Actually, it was a great operation,” he reiterated.

The report mentioned that Trump seemed a bit tired during the conversation. The call was apparently made to a dedicated line, and he answered after three rings.

When questioned about whether he sought Congressional approval prior to the strike, Trump replied, “We’ll talk about that.”

Earlier that morning, the United States executed a significant offensive against Venezuela, resulting in the capture and exile of Maduro and his wife. The operation was a joint effort with U.S. law enforcement, with further details expected to be revealed later.

A press conference is planned for later Saturday morning at Mar-a-Lago.

A news report indicated that the Maduros were set to be transported to New York facing potential criminal charges, likely connected to drug trafficking activities.

This military action followed earlier threats made by Trump and other U.S. officials against Maduro, who has been accused of leading a drug cartel and is viewed by the U.S. as an “illegitimate leader.”

According to reports, since August, the U.S. military has increased its presence in the Southcom region. This buildup includes deploying warships, at least one submarine, F-35 fighter jets, MQ-9 Reaper drones, and reconnaissance aircraft, all aimed at curbing illegal drug trafficking and safeguarding U.S. interests.
