Smokey Robinson rejects claims of sexual assault in a $50 million lawsuit.

Smokey Robinson has categorically denied the sexual assault allegations leveled against him. His attorney, Christopher Frost, pointed out inconsistencies in the plaintiffs’ accounts and timelines, suggesting they may be attempting to extort money from the music icon.

Robinson’s wife, Francis, has also been accused of fostering a “hostile work environment.” Four former housekeepers have filed a lawsuit against Robinson claiming sexual assault, seeking $50 million in damages.

According to Frost’s statement, they will mount a strong legal defense, asserting that the evidence points to these allegations being a tactic for financial gain. The lawsuit claims that Robinson engaged in sexual misconduct and false imprisonment against the former employees.

Frost described the press conference organized by the plaintiffs’ attorneys as “vile,” casting doubt on the legitimacy of their allegations.

The allegations stem from incidents reportedly occurring between 2006 and 2024, as Robinson allegedly assaulted a housekeeper at his Chatsworth home.

The legal team aims to have the case dismissed as part of their response to the claims. In addition to Robinson, his wife faces accusations related to a toxic work environment.

Details from the lawsuit reveal that one accuser, who worked for Robinson, asserts she was subjected to multiple instances of sexual assault, which led her to resign. The plaintiffs maintain they were severely harmed and humiliated by Robinson’s actions.

The civil suit includes several charges against Robinson and his wife for various violations, including emotional distress and labor law breaches.
