‘SNL’ interviews P’Nut the squirrel’s widow on Weekend Update

This week, “Saturday Night Live's” “Weekend Update” covered the story of Peanut the Squirrel, featured his “widow,” and discussed the controversy surrounding the beloved pet's euthanasia and internet sensation. .

Hazel reveals that Punat is simply the squirrel's “human name” and that his real name is made up of indecipherable squirrel sounds.

Shaman Hazelnut tells Jost about the first time the couple met, in a tree, and flirts with Jost, using a lot of squirrel-like innuendo.

Punat was first seized by the Department of Environmental Protection on October 30th. The New York State Department cited an anonymous complaint that a known rabies vector in the form of Fred the raccoon lived in the home.

Punat lived with her guardian Mark Longo for seven years until he was captured and murdered. Longo had rescued the puppy after witnessing its mother being hit and killed by a car.

This squirrel became a social media star until his untimely and untimely death.
