Snoop Dogg gifted his daughter $1 million for her wedding

Snoop Dogg loves kids.

During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show with his daughter Cori Broadus, the pair played a game called “Snoop and Cori Confessions,'' where they answered questions about each other. One of the questions host Jennifer Hudson asked was what was the most expensive gift Snoop ever gave his daughter.

“That's true, but the only thing about this present is that she hasn't opened it or hasn't opened it yet,” he said on Monday's episode. “Her wedding cost $1 million.”

Snoop jokingly added that if this had been his wedding, the cost would have been “$100 or $900 in my pocket.”

Broadus and her fiancé, Wayne Duce, got engaged in November 2022 and had planned to marry early this year. However, plans were postponed after Broadus, who was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus at the age of six, suffered a stroke in January 2024.

The journey to planning their wedding and the ups and downs the couple experienced along the way will be chronicled in an upcoming three-part E! Documentary series “Snoop's Fatherhood: The Story of Cori and Wayne.”

When it came to his daughter's fiancé, Snoop couldn't help but gush about how much he loved him and said he called him his son-in-law for a while. He even revealed that when he argues with his daughter, he takes Deuce's side more often than his daughter's, explaining, “He's always right.”

“I know he’s the one,” he said. “As a father, you know, I speak for him, because one of the things you know as a father is that if the baby is your girl, you don't have to deal with people who don't want to treat her.” It means not giving her away” care. “

After getting emotional talking about his daughter and his love for Deuce, Snoop told Hudson, “I've watched her from birth to now, so it's no wonder I'm emotional.”

While answering another question early in the game, the proud father mentions another expensive gift he once gave his daughter, revealing that he bought her a G-Wagon for her 16th birthday.

“I don't know what happened, but I bought him a G-Wagon for his 16th birthday and all of a sudden my mom owns a G-Wagon,” Snoop said. When Hudson asked if Broadus had given the car to her mother, Snoop replied, “She didn't give it to her, she took it away. Her grounding took the car away.”

“She drove me to the nail shop and I was like, 'Mom, it's cold, it's cold,'” Broadus added, explaining what was going on with her at the time. He also said that he was unable to reveal the details.

At the end of the day, Broadus admits she couldn't have asked for better parents and recognizes that their parenting style made her the person she is today.

“I think the best thing was that he was very supportive,” she said of her father. “Sometimes I think, 'Wait, is this my father?' He's just a legend, but he's always there for me, teaching me everything I need to know in life. .”
